If choosing the Zip archive for Linux over the .deb install then you will need to extract them and set the Executable flag on the Application.
If Linux deb file refuses to install on your system with double click then do in terminal: sudo dpkg -i registrator-decoder_8.5.0_amd64.deb

If you loose the key your files then we cannot help you, the key is not stored anywhere and cannot be reset or decoded backwards.
